Coat of Arms

Here you can view a series of hand-embroidered seals and coats of arms created between 2000 and 2009. This project united history, heraldic symbols, and embroidery.

The project idea came from Professor Niko Javakhishvili (Tbilisi State University). The Tbilisi State University Department of History and the Genealogical Society provided historical and genealogical support. Works include embroidered seals of Georgian kings and noble families with studies of official seals for other countries: United States, Georgia, United Kingdom, Romania.
